Driving Miss Ashley - Episode 9
Matt's Awesome Adventures
In sunny, hot Florida in the winter, on a much needed break from the role of “everybody’s favorite bus driver,” I wanted to pack in all the adventure that I could during this vacation. So, when I was thinking up some things to do to take a shot at having some fun, I decided to meet up with some old high school buddies for some paintballing. Just looking at my macho self and very tough mustache, you may not have guessed that I have never been paintballing in my life, or for that matter shot a gun at a moving target. I soon found that my thrill-seeking does not include an experience that is based on paint-filled exploding ammunition that causes welts. I decided to make a kamikaze run into the other team’s side of the field, which may have been due to a lapse of judgment, or at least the desire to be on the side where the ammo was coming from. I was instantly covered in bruises, when someone with jealousy toward my very muscular left pectoral area took aim and didn’t take his finger off the trigger. I left with a bruised chest and ego, and ready to go on to less painful activities, or at least that’s what I thought.

During this break, I also moved out of my condo, which I discovered was just another anti-relaxation technique. But, it had to be done since I will be on the road for a big part of the year, with Big Blue to call my home, sweet, home. After successfully moving everything into a storage unit, I hit the road on my motorcycle headed for Key West with some friends.

From the above pictures, you can see that my Movember Mustache has become a December essential after all of the great feedback. It is a great conversation starter, and it’s easier to find me in a crowd. At this point, everyone knows better than to give me any lip about it.

Even on vacation, I am looking forward to which highways and byways Ashley and I will be traveling on our Experience Gendex 2012 tour. It’s always fun meeting new people and watching them get excited about all of our products. When my year is up for driving Big Blue, I’m thinking of taking a road trip on my motorcycle or exploring Australia and New Zealand. But for now, my focus is on driving across the US, meeting new people, and watching their excitement while playing with all of the great Gendex equipment.
Keep an eye on our blog to see where we visit next!
